Change the World Before Bedtime by Mark Kimball Moulton

Title: Change the World Before Bedtime
Author: Mark Kimball Moulton, Josh Chalmers, and Karen Good
Publication Date: August 1, 2012
Length: 32 pages

Change the World Before Bedtime is a kids' book (it says pre-K to grade 2; I think it's a bit younger, but I don't have kids so what do I know?) that talks about different ways that kids can change the world. All the actions illustrated are things that a kid could actually do, which is nice. The idea is that any kid can be a superhero.

The art in this book is lovely. It's simple, but at the same time really textured. Overall it's a very pleasant read!

My one complaint: "No matter the season, we'll do what we can/to brighten the spirits of our fellow man." I'm of the school of thought that there's no excuse anymore for using "man" or "mankind", even for a nice rhyme. Personally I wouldn't want to teach my kid gendered language.

4 stars.

Full disclosure: Free e-book copy received from the publisher through NetGalley.
