What are you reading right now? The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar and Six More by Roald Dahl
How's that going? Alright. Roald Dahl writes a very strange mix of delightful kids' stories and stories that are so disturbing that I wouldn't describe them as appropriate for any age group (including mine!).

Some of these stories are seriously gonna give me nightmares. Also I'm tired!
Oh maybe those stories would have been better during the daytime. I'm still hanging in there. This is about where I fell asleep last time so I'm trying to be extra careful now. Not going to allow myself to get comfortable. Maybe I'll stand up and read.
ReplyDeleteI figure stories about boys who bully another boy by tying him down between railroad tracks so he has to lie very low and hope the train doesn't hit part of him that's sticking up would be terrifying at any time of day!
DeleteI tried standing up for a bit, and I think it helped, but I didn't have the willpower to keep it up for long. I just splashed some cold water on my face and that helped too!
However scary books might help keep you awake, no? Keep going, not long left now!
ReplyDeleteIt's true that I'm not suffering from boredom! My eyes are still getting droopy, though. But I will make it!
DeleteAre you still there? Maybe you should switch books.
ReplyDeleteI'm still here alright! Actually this book is a pretty good read-a-thon pick I think. The stories are just weird. :P
