So it's off to the random number generator. I have 765 books on my TBR shelf at the moment, so I enter 1 as the min and 765 as the max, and hit Generate.
Drum roll, please!
That's new! This is the first time my random number has been so low that it's in the part of my list reserved for review copies and other books I need to read soon-ish. So this month, instead of reading a random old book, I'll be bumping up a review copy to the head of the queue.
I really like this idea, but I could never do it. My TBR list is so fragmented, and I only keep a small part of it on GR, the rest is in a rather convoluted Excel spreadsheet. I like to think I'm pretty good about not letting stuff sit too long though. Also, my TBR list is completely virtual. I don't have a literal pile (or piles) in my house of unread books, so if some titles languish on the list longer than others, it doesn't really matter.
ReplyDeleteThat happened to me last month too, I picked Awaken by Katie Kacvinsky. But like you said, at least it's off my to-read list now! I just finished my one for March and really enjoyed it though. I hope you enjoy your pick for this month! Thanks for participating. :)
